1996 RR Silver Spur
Long Wheelbase Sedan

Only 21,000 Careful Miles

This very late example of the Silver Spur Sedan has enjoyed the best of care from a meticulous Arizona owner. The car was used at a second home in Scottsdale, Arizona periodically, thus accounting for its approximately 21,000 miles in a good climate. That’s an average of just 1100 miles per year. As such, it is an extremely fresh and correct car. It's finished in the most desirable colors of Black (9531101) exterior paint with Sandstone (9546041) double-fine-line pin striping with Sandstone (A4310) leather piped in Soft Tan (A4311) leather.

It also is a well-optioned car with Sandstone all leather headliner, burl veneer wood inserts to all four doors, chrome exterior mirrors and adjustable rear seats. Loose foot rests to the rear compartment are also included and an opening rear armrest. There are Duchess leather straps to aid rear seat exiting. Finally, there are rear quarter RR badges.

As to condition, it is nearly as new and there are NO dents, scratches or marks on the paint, leather or wood. It has a clear Carfax Report indicting no accident/damage. A complete build history book is included with the car. Everything works as intended leaving nothing to do. A full set of owner books are included as are tools and jacking equipment. With only 21,000 miles and the most desired colors, this is a car you could happily own for many years of enjoyment.

History

The Long Wheelbase Silver Spur was first introduced in 1980 and was continuously improved, as was Rolls-Royce policy for these hand-made beauties, produced through 1999 before being discontinued. The Spur was a more expensive version of the short wheelbase Silver Spirit, with an additional four inches to the rear compartment... which makes the Spur a very comfortable car.

This is a very late example with numerous updates. It benefited from the Rolls-Royce policy of continuous improvement. It is powered by the 6.8 liter V-8. Great emphasis was placed upon a smooth and comfortable ride making these final models the ones to have. These latter cars are also the most sought after and therefore the hardest to find. They are a remarkable buy for the money.
